An idol of Lord Ram, along with the idol of Mata Sita, will be carefully placed on a beautifully crafted two-feet high white marble throne on the first floor of the much anticipated Ram temple in Ayodhya on June 6 2025. Furthermore, it has been announced by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust that the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Darbar will be organized on the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, which falls on June 5. This event marks a significant moment in the spiritual journey of the temple and its devotees.

Idols of Lord Hanuman and Lakshman will be placed in a sitting position in front of the Ram Darbar while standing idols of Bharat and Shatrughan will be installed behind the throne. Each of the idols and the throne itself has been intricately sculpted from exquisite white marble in Jaipur, Rajasthan, as the Trust announced. They will be transported from Jaipur in a convoy on May 21 and are expected to reach Ayodhya on May 22, which is an eagerly anticipated event.

“These remarkable idols, crafted out of white marble and created using the Hemmark photographic technique, will be installed on the first floor of the structure,” Trust member Anil Mishra stated. The convoy, which carries immense significance, will depart from Jaipur on May 21 and is expected to carry on its journey to Ayodhya, reaching its destination on May 22, reaffirming the careful planning and consideration involved.

“Preparations for events leading to the grand consecration ceremony on June 5 will commence on June 3. All arrangements have been thoroughly made for the upcoming ceremony,” Mishra added, emphasizing the organization involved. The Trust has also apprised the state government about the arrival of the idols from Jaipur, requesting the necessary measures to be taken to ensure adequate security arrangements are in place for the protection of the convoy during this important journey.

Arrangements For Ram Darbar Opening

Eleven dedicated priests are scheduled to arrive in Ayodhya by May 30 specifically for the highly anticipated Ram Darbar consecration ceremony. In addition to these priests traveling from afar, the remainder of the priests participating in this sacred event will be sourced from the local region of Ayodhya itself. The authorities and administration have undertaken meticulous and elaborate preparations for the ceremony, thoroughly ensuring the safety and security of all individuals who will attend this significant occasion.

The temple complex will include four grand entrance gates, with the southern gate being designed as the most notable and prominent of them all. This impressive gate will stand at a towering height of 17 metres, stretching 30 metres in length and extending 11 metres in width. Its façade will be intricately adorned with magnificent carvings depicting elephants, horses, lions, and blooming flowers, enhancing the beauty and significance of the entrance.

This will follow the formal installation of the idols on May 23. A three-day ceremonial event will lead to the installation of 18 additional idols in the temple, as indicated by the temple trust officials. Ram temple construction committee chairman Nripendra Mishra communicated to TOI that the dates of May 23 and June 5 possess their own special and auspicious planetary alignments.

Therefore, it has been decided to proceed with the installation on May 23. Subsequently, the Ram Darbar will be officially declared open on June 6, following a ceremonial puja that will take place on June 5. This multi-day celebration highlights the significant importance of the dates chosen for the ceremony and reflects the careful planning involved in this revered event.

In order to uphold and maintain the revered sanctity of the site, access to the first floor of the temple will be restricted to a limited number of devoted visitors. Meanwhile, the second floor of the temple will house an impressive display dedicated to the Ramayan, which will be presented in multiple languages, including the oldest known version, allowing attendees to appreciate this timeless epic in various forms.

The entire construction of the Ram Temple is projected to be fully completed by October of this year. This timeline indicates a significant milestone in the project, which has garnered much attention and anticipation from various communities.
